200 word assignment
I walk in and a million smells hit me at once. A hinting fragrance of half dead flowers sitting on a desk that smellscof lemon pine-sol. The fridge must have been left open because a chilling breeze hits me making the hairs on th back o my neck stand. I run m hand along the used to be smooth wall now my hand slides along holes and scrathes. I think I hear a noise down the hall but the stench reminds me I am alone. A stench I have been trying to ignore but has now creeped into my mouth causing me to gag. As I turn the corner the source of the stench is revealed, it is the smell of a body resting in a soft recliner.

In the short story Internal two men belive they are to conduct a study on their bosses brother and return to their boss when the study is finished to provide their results. When they end up at the apartment it is abandoned except for the two sent to observe the brother, so they begin to observe each other. What i belive happened is the two men were being used as human lab rats and the entire time were most likely being observed by their bosses who were making there own conclusions about the observers. Staying in a rundown apartment with little food and nobody else around to observe a person you know nothing about and not questioning it at all makes no sense to me, and that is probably what the bosses were interested in studying, what would cause a person to put themselves through something like that. It would obviously be a pshycological problem which we are told the doctors are main feild of study is.

Fluorescence
I personally did not care for the poems in Fluorescence. Many of them were very vague, which I know poems are supposed to be, but they seemed almost too vague. There also wasn't as much word play as you usually see in poetry which I feel sets poetry apart from other forms of writing. Because of this while I was reading it I didn't feel like I was reading a book of poems, more like a very unorganized book. But, maybe thats the way the author intended it to be because of the connections between the poems.
